About imageupload.io

Image hosting built for useful links.

imageupload.io is an independently operated image-hosting service for people and software that need a fast share page, a direct image URL, or both.

Why the service exists

The imageupload.io domain hosted an image-upload service for years. After a period offline, the product was rebuilt on a new application stack with a clearer focus: quick uploads, direct links, privacy controls, and documented developer access.

Our goal is deliberately practical. An upload should produce a link that works in a message, forum, website, Markdown file, or automated workflow without forcing the recipient through an advertising maze.

What happens to an upload

Supported images are validated and processed before storage. EXIF, IPTC, and XMP metadata—including GPS coordinates and device identifiers—is removed automatically. Depending on the uploader's choice, a file can expire after a period of time, delete itself after a view limit, require a password, or remain available until its owner deletes it.

Image files are stored in Cloudflare R2 and delivered over HTTPS. Account and application data are handled by the imageupload.io application; the details, retention periods, and service providers are documented in our Privacy Policy.

For developers and AI tools

The same upload service is available through a bearer-authenticated REST API and a Model Context Protocol server. The interfaces support uploads, image and folder management, quotas, expiring links, and direct URLs. Start with the upload API guide, use the complete API and MCP documentation, or run the maintained examples in the public GitHub repository.

Safety and moderation

Public image hosting attracts abuse, so uploads are subject to automated controls, rate limits, blocklists, and manual review. Prohibited content is described in the Terms of Service. Every share page includes a report link, and specific abuse or copyright concerns can be sent to [email protected]. The Trust Center explains the security, moderation, status, and legacy-link process in one place.

How to reach us

Questions, corrections, partnership requests, and support messages are welcome through the contact page. Pricing and plan limits are kept on the pricing page so product claims have one current source of truth.
