The ground rules.
Last updated: April 11, 2026
These terms govern your use of imageupload.io ("the Service"), operated by imageupload.io. By uploading an image, creating an account, or using our MCP API, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. What we are
imageupload.io is an image-hosting service that also exposes an MCP (Model Context Protocol) endpoint so AI agents can upload on behalf of authenticated users. Paid plans (Starter, Pro, Business) unlock more storage, higher upload limits, and additional features. See our pricing page for current plan details.
2. What you can upload
You may upload image files in the following formats: PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, and AVIF. Maximum file size depends on your plan (25 MB for Free and Starter, 50 MB for Pro, 100 MB for Business).
3. What you may NOT upload
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Zero tolerance - we report to NCMEC and law enforcement.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery.
- Pornography, sexually explicit images, or NSFW content. imageupload.io is not an adult content platform. Accounts uploading such content will be terminated without notice.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights you do not own or have a license to distribute.
- Malware, phishing pages screenshotted as images, or anything designed to deceive viewers.
- Content that promotes violence, terrorism, or illegal activity.
- Private data of third parties (doxxing, leaked credentials, etc.).
4. Account responsibility
If you register, you're responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password safe. Don't share your MCP API key. If you think someone got access, reset both immediately from your profile page.
5. Our rights
We may remove any image, delete any account, or block any visitor (by IP, user-agent, or fingerprint) at any time, with or without notice, at our sole discretion - particularly in response to a violation of these terms, a valid legal request, or a credible abuse report.
6. Pricing, billing, and refunds
imageupload.io offers four plans: Free ($0), Starter ($5/month or $50/year), Pro ($12/month or $120/year), and Business ($29/month or $290/year). Each plan includes different storage limits, API quotas, and features. See our pricing page for current details. Prices may change with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.
Merchant of Record. Payments are processed by Paddle, who sells Pro subscriptions to you on our behalf. Your card statement will show a charge from Paddle.net or Paddle.com, not from imageupload.io. Paddle handles payment processing, billing support, sales tax/VAT collection, and invoices on our behalf.
Refunds. We offer a 14-day no-questions-asked money-back guarantee on your first Pro purchase (monthly or yearly). Email [email protected] within 14 days of payment and we will refund the full amount. Renewal charges after the first 14 days are not automatically refundable, but you may cancel at any time from your profile page to prevent the next renewal. See our Refund Policy for full details.
Cancellation. You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from the profile page. You'll keep Pro features until the end of the period you already paid for, after which your account automatically reverts to the Free plan. Your images are not deleted when you downgrade - they remain accessible subject to the Free-plan limits.
7. Image expiration
When you upload an image, you choose an expiration rule. We enforce it. Once an image expires - whether by time, view limit, or after-view - we delete the file from storage from our servers and the corresponding database row. Expired images cannot be recovered. Do not use imageupload.io as a backup service.
8. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the European Economic Area) to use imageupload.io. By using the service, you represent that you meet this minimum age requirement. If we discover that a user is under the applicable minimum age, we will promptly delete their account and all associated data.
9. DMCA and copyright
If you believe content hosted by us infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to [email protected] with: (a) your contact info, (b) identification of the copyrighted work, (c) the exact URL of the infringing image, (d) a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized, (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf, and (f) your physical or electronic signature. We will act on valid notices promptly.
Counter-notification. If your content was removed and you believe it was done in error, you may send a counter-notification to [email protected] with: (a) your contact info, (b) identification of the removed material and its URL before removal, (c) a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake, and (d) consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in our operating jurisdiction and that you will accept service of process from the complainant. We will restore the material within 10-14 business days unless the complainant files a court action.
Repeat infringers. We will terminate the accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers.
10. MCP API
The MCP endpoint is rate-limited per API key. Don't use it to circumvent storage quotas, resell access, or impersonate other users. Uploads via MCP count against your plan's storage and API quota just like web uploads.
11. Fair use
Plan features described as "unlimited" (storage, API uploads on Pro and Business) have no fixed cap but are subject to reasonable use. We reserve the right to contact you if your usage significantly exceeds typical patterns (for example, using imageupload.io as a general-purpose CDN or bulk data warehouse rather than as an image-hosting service). We will always reach out before taking any action on your account.
12. Account inactivity
We may delete accounts that have been inactive for more than 12 consecutive months. Before doing so, we will send at least one email to your registered address with 30 days' notice. If you log in during that notice period, the deletion is cancelled.
13. Limitation of liability
imageupload.io is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost data.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which imageupload.io is operated. Any disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
